As a Bakery/Deli Manager, you'll lead daily operations, develop team members, drive sales and profitability, and ensure high-quality products and outstanding customer service in a fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli environment. •earn company stock at no cost to you Full-time, stable hours Leadership development and career advancement opportunities Hands-on experience in bakery, deli, and retail operations Opportunity to grow within store leadership roles A team-focused environment where you can take ownership What You'll Do Lead daily operations of the bakery and deli departments Supervise, schedule, hire, train, and develop team members Drive sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, and waste reduction Manage inventory, ordering, merchandising, and product displays Ensure food safety, sanitation, and brand quality standards are maintained Prepare, package, and present bakery and deli products according to recipes and procedures Execute promotions, upselling, and local store marketing initiatives Operate cash register (POS) and ensure transaction accuracy Monitor production levels, portion control, and freshness standards Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient bakery/deli environment What We're Looking For Experience in bakery, deli, food service, grocery, or retail management preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Basic math, financial literacy, and inventory management skills Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Experience with bakery, deli, or food production operations is a plus Food Handler Permit required (or ability to obtain within 30 days) Flexible full-time availability (days, evenings, weekends, holidays) Work Environment Fast-paced grocery store bakery and deli environment Exposure to hot cooking equipment and cold storage areas Standing for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs This is not an official description but represents major responsibilities a new hire can expect to perform.
