Job Description
Are you an experienced line cook who knows how to run a kitchen when the pressure is on? Innsbrook Resort is a premier destination located in the beautiful rolling hills of Innsbrook, Missouri, just a short drive from I-70 and less than an hour from St. Louis. Spanning more than 7,500 acres, the resort offers a unique hospitality environment with multiple dining and event operations, including the Clubhouse Bar & Grille , a speakeasy, café, full-service event venue, weddings, corporate retreats, meetings, and special events. We are looking for a hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead the culinary operations at the Clubhouse Bar & Grille. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced line cook, sous chef, kitchen supervisor, or lead cook who is ready to take the next step in their career and have a greater role in leading a kitchen team. About the Role As Kitchen Manager, you will be a working leader in the kitchen. You will help set the tone in a team-oriented environment, maintain high standards during service, and ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, safely, and consistently. You will work closely with the resort's operations leadership to support daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality, manage kitchen staff, and help create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being on the line, knows how to lead a culinary team, and has the experience and judgment to keep a kitchen running smoothly during both everyday service and busy resort events. What You'll Do Lead daily kitchen operations at the Clubhouse Bar & Grille Work hands-on alongside the kitchen team during service Lead, train, coach, and support line cooks, prep cooks, dish staff, and other kitchen team members Help coordinate kitchen staffing, station assignments, prep, and service flow Maintain consistency in food quality, presentation, portioning, and ticket times Ensure recipes, menu specifications, and food-preparation standards are followed Assist with ordering, receiving, inventory control, product rotation, and minimizing food waste Help monitor food costs and maintain appropriate levels of kitchen supplies and ingredients Maintain a clean, organized, and properly functioning kitchen Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and resort leadership Help prepare the kitchen for busy weekends, special events, weddings, and other resort functions Identify problems quickly and take action to keep service moving Help build a positive, respectful, accountable, and team-oriented kitchen culture What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who has real-world kitchen experience and understands what it takes to run a successful service.
