The Front of the House Manager (FOHM) is solely in charge of producing a remarkable experience for our Guests in our dining room, at our front counter, as well as the drive-thru. The FOHM is the primary leader for all front of house operations. The expectation is that you should have a heightened sense of awareness of the operation and operate at a higher altitude with a business owner mentality. You will ultimately be held accountable for the progress and training of the front of house team, efficiency and growth of the business as well as profitability of the restaurant.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The FOHM is expected to direct and develop the leadership team towards excellence in the following critical areas of our business: Develop Team Members and Leaders in such a way that they are operating as a motivated and cohesive team that embodies the vision of the business. This development should be very intentional and occur each day. Follow all Chick-fil-A standards and procedures (details matter). Coach Team Members and Leaders to ensure these standards and procedures are being met every day. Oversee and ensure drive-thru operations are being executed timely and to Chick-fil-A standards. Oversee and ensure front counter operations are being executed timely and to Chick-fil-A standards. Oversee and ensure dining room operations are being executed timely and to Chick-fil-A standards.
Lead money management to include:
INform, starting and finalizing day, manage safe, cashier overages/shortages, change fund, etc. Create the schedule for all front of house employees. Monitor time punches (late arrivals, call-outs, etc.) Ensure cleaning and maintenance all front of house equipment is completed as scheduled. Train and integrate of New Team Members. Monitor Guest satisfaction scores. Monitor and adjust staffing levels. Surface resourcing needs. Anticipate and prepare for the growth of the leadership team. Who is going to fill the next seat? Hold the Team Accountable for policy standards, timeliness, grooming, cellphones, uniforms, etc. Lean into cross training! Our goal is that anyone can eventually work any position. Be intentional in fostering a team mentality and mutual respect between tall areas of the business. You are a leader in our business! Always hold yourself to a higher standard. Seize every opportunity to display intentional care to our valued Team Members. Front of house is the primary focus, however a full understanding of back of house operations is also critical to this role.
Team Development and Coaching:
Schedule recurring feedback/check-In One-on-One sessions with Team Leads Schedule check-in meetings with New Hires 30 days after employment and follow up sessions as needed Conduct 60 day performance reviews with the Operator Provide both formal and informal feedback to the team on an ongoing basis
