This leader will oversee daily operations, manage and develop the team, maintain food quality, provide outstanding customer service, and ensure the restaurant runs efficiently at all times. This is not a desk job. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead by example, work alongside the team, and be capable of operating every station in the restaurant.

Responsibilities include:
- Train all new employees using Vybez Kitchen SOPs and training materials.
- Cross-train employees to work multiple stations.
- Conduct ongoing coaching and retraining when necessary.
- Ensure employees follow recipes, portion sizes, cook times, and plating standards.
- Verify employees understand food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Complete training checklists and sign off once employees are fully trained.
- Reinforce Vybez Kitchen's customer service standards, culture, and core values.
- Hold employees accountable for following all procedures.
- Identify future leaders and help develop them.
- Ensure every employee can confidently perform their duties independently.
⸻ Kitchen Operations The Assistant Manager must be able to prepare and cook every menu item at Vybez Kitchen.
Responsibilities include:
- Cook every menu item to company standards.
- Prepare, cook, cut, debone, portion, and package oxtails.
- Complete daily prep lists.
- Ensure recipes and portion sizes remain consistent.
- Maintain food quality and presentation.
- Monitor ticket times and kitchen efficiency.
- Assist every station when needed.
- Ensure food is always cooked safely and correctly.
- Minimize food waste.
- Ensure prep is completed for upcoming shifts before employees leave. ⸻ Front of House Responsibilities
- Take customer orders accurately.
- Learn and understand every menu item, ingredient, and modification.
- Recommend menu items and upsell when appropriate.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly.
- Deliver excellent customer service.

- Perform daily inventory counts.
- Monitor food usage and minimize waste.
