Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Back of House Jukebox Pub Cook, where your culinary skills and passion for food preparation will create memorable dining experiences for our guests. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, maintaining kitchen safety standards, and supporting the overall flow of our bustling pub environment. Your expertise in food handling, menu execution, and kitchen operations will be essential to delivering exceptional service behind the scenes. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of menu items with precision and consistency, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting creative culinary ideas to enhance the dining experience. Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations. Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, portioning, and presentation for optimal freshness and appeal. Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food efficiently and safely. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely meal service and smooth kitchen operations. Use knife skills proficiently for chopping, slicing, dicing, and other food preparation tasks to maximize efficiency. Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly valued for understanding specialized food handling requirements. Proven restaurant or kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment demonstrates your ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Fine dining experience is a plus, showcasing your attention to detail and high standards of presentation. Strong culinary background with expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food industry best practices. Knowledge of food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Experience in menu planning, meal preparation, catering services, and serving in various hospitality settings. Excellent knife skills combined with a thorough understanding of food industry regulations ensure safe and efficient kitchen work.
