Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef/Kitchen Manager, where your leadership and culinary expertise will elevate our food service operations to new heights. In this energetic role, you will oversee daily kitchen activities, ensure exceptional food quality, and manage a talented team of culinary professionals. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and motivated team atmosphere Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs Implement and uphold food safety sanitizing procedures and proper handling practices across all kitchen areas Plan menus in collaboration with executive chefs or management, incorporating dietary restrictions and customer preferences Coordinate shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy service periods and catering events Monitor compliance with health regulations, safety standards, and sanitation protocols at all times Assist in training staff on food production techniques, customer service standards, and safety procedures Support the dietary department by ensuring menu items meet nutritional guidelines and special dietary needs are accommodated Qualifications Proven experience in banquet cooking, fine dining environments, or catering services with a strong culinary background Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food service setting with team management responsibilities Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory management, and cost control strategies Demonstrated ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction Strong understanding of menu planning, food handling, and kitchen management principles Experience with food production for large events or banquet settings is highly desirable Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities to motivate staff and ensure seamless operations Culinary certification or relevant training in hospitality or the food industry is preferred Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents inspire excellence!
