Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! In this pivotal role, you will lead daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and support the management team in delivering a memorable dining experience. Your passion for food, hospitality, and team leadership will drive the success of our restaurant. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in food service management, culinary expertise, and staff supervision to make a positive impact in a fast-paced environment. All roles are paid positions, including internships. Duties Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high standards of quality. Supervise and motivate staff, including training new team members and conducting ongoing staff development to foster a cohesive team environment. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Oversee inventory control, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal supplies for efficient service. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Ensure quick service and fast food restaurant standards are met by supervising kitchen operations and food production. Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure customer satisfaction. Assist with shift management, including scheduling staff shifts, managing labor costs, and maintaining operational efficiency. Support kitchen management tasks such as food safety compliance, food quality control, and catering or banquet event coordination when needed. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations. Hands-on experience with POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling procedures. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and interviewing candidates. Background in hospitality management with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management practices. Excellent communication skills combined with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team. Prior experience working in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments is preferred; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus. Knowledge of kitchen operations including food handling, culinary techniques, and food production processes. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety standards.
