Assistant General Manager - Popovers at Brickyard Square Popovers at Brickyard Square is looking for a dependable, motivated, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our leadership team. This position will work closely with the General Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the restaurant , lead our team, maintain a high level of guest service, and help ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and successfully. We are looking for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the operation. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who is comfortable working alongside the team while also providing direction, coaching, and accountability. Responsibilities Assist the General Manager with daily restaurant operations Help lead, supervise, and support Front of House team members Serve as the manager on duty and oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts Assist with opening and closing the restaurant Maintain high standards for guest service, food quality, cleanliness, and overall restaurant presentation Respond to guest questions, concerns, and service issues professionally Help train, coach, and develop team members Assist with employee scheduling and daily staffing needs Monitor labor and make adjustments based on business levels Help maintain appropriate inventory and product levels Assist with ordering and vendor coordination as needed Ensure company policies, procedures, and food safety standards are followed Support cash handling, deposits, and other daily administrative responsibilities Communicate effectively with the General Manager, kitchen leadership, and team members Help create a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment Step into different areas of the operation when needed to support the team What We're Looking For Previous restaurant, café, hospitality, or retail leadership experience Strong leadership and communication skills Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities Comfortable making decisions and solving problems during a shift Strong guest-service mindset Ability to coach employees and hold team members accountable Willingness to be hands-on and work alongside the team Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Flexible availability, including weekdays and weekends Reliable transportation About the Position This is a great opportunity for an experienced restaurant professional looking to take the next step in their management career or an existing manager looking to join an established hospitality company.
