Job Description
Job Summary The Galley Hatch is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our dynamic restaurant team. In this role, you will lead daily operations, supervise staff, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold food safety standards. Your leadership will drive team performance, optimize restaurant efficiency, and create memorable dining experiences for our guests. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and high standards of quality. Supervise and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Control inventory levels through accurate stock management and ordering to minimize waste. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, safe environment. Assist in shift management, including scheduling staff and managing customer inquiries or complaints. Qualifications Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with strong supervisory skills. Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety management. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS cash handling experience required. Background in hospitality management with experience in team training and development. Strong communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage conflict resolution. Experience in managing inventory control, budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and food production. Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in a casual dining or fine dining setting is preferred. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude.
