GENERAL MANAGER - DOONEY'S PUB
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Dooney's Pub is seeking a proven hospitality leader to oversee our restaurant, bar, and banquet operations in Egg Harbor Township. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who takes ownership, thrives on accountability, and wants to make a meaningful impact on an established business. We are looking for a leader who treats the operation like it's their own. Someone who builds strong teams, creates exceptional guest experiences, drives sales, controls costs, and holds themselves and others to a high standard. This is not a position for someone looking to simply manage shifts. This is an opportunity to lead a business, develop people, and be rewarded for performance.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As General Manager, you will have responsibility for the day-to-day operation and overall performance of the restaurant, bar, and banquet business. You will lead the management team, develop staff, oversee guest experience, drive profitability, and ensure operational excellence throughout the facility. You will be expected to identify opportunities, solve problems, make decisions, and continuously improve the business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead all restaurant, bar, and banquet operations Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and hospitality Deliver exceptional guest experiences and resolve guest concerns effectively Lead both front-of-house and back-of-house operations to create a seamless guest experience from the kitchen to the dining room. Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, consistency, food safety, and execution on every shift. Drive sales growth through local marketing, community involvement, and event execution Oversee banquet and private event planning and execution Manage labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, and overall profitability Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety Ensure compliance with company policies and health regulations Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to improve results
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Minimum 3 years of restaurant or hospitality management experience Full-service restaurant management experience strongly preferred Banquet, catering, or private event experience preferred Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold teams accountable Strong financial acumen with experience managing labor and food costs Excellent communication and problem-solving skills High standards and strong attention to detail Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment ServSafe certification strongly preferred Valid driver's license required
