Job Summary:
We are looking for an energetic and experienced General Manager to lead our fast-casual, fast-paced and large restaurant in Jersey City. You will be responsible for managing the overall direction of the venue in conjunction with ownership and will lead a team of experienced professionals. Your core responsibilities will revolve around driving the business from a food, beverage and guest experience perspective. If this sounds like a role for you, we want to meet you!
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management Lead and motivate the team to achieve business goals and maintain high standards. Set clear performance expectations and provide regular feedback. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture. Team Development Implement training and development programs for staff. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback. Mentor and support team members in their career growth. Cleanliness and Sanitation Ensure compliance with all cleanliness and sanitation standards. Conduct regular inspections and address any issues promptly. Train staff on proper sanitation protocols. Sales and Marketing Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Plan and execute marketing campaigns and special events. Analyze market trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Financial Management Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Manage labor costs, beverage costs, and other operational expenses. Ensure profitability and financial health of the business. Guest Service Maintain high standards of guest service and guest satisfaction. Address guest complaints and feedback promptly and professionally. Monitor and respond to online reviews and ratings. Vendor and Supplier Management Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. Hold Vendors accountable and ensure compliance with agreements. Conduct regular performance reviews with vendors. Event Management Partner with event organizers to enhance guest experience. Develop and implement innovative event programming. Use feedback from events to improve future collaborations. Promotions and Networking Develop and implement strategic promotional campaigns to enhance brand visibility and drive guest engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners, clients, and community organizations to expand the company's network and foster collaborative opportunities. Communication Maintain open and professional lines of communication. Ensure transparent and honest communication at all levels. Implement systems for receiving and addressing feedback. Professionalism and Inclusion Promote and maintain professional conduct within the team. Foster an inclusive and diverse work environment. Organize team-building activities to strengthen team cohesion.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a General Manager or in a similar leadership role. Strong understanding of business management, financial principles, and guest service. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop and implement effective strategies. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.

Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
