General Manager - Restaurant Seymour's Cafe - 4.0 Livingston, NJ Job Details Full-time From $1,200 a week 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Job Summary The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Seymour's Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and leading a high-performing team. This role is responsible for driving sales, controlling costs, managing staff, and creating a positive dining experience for every guest. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily café operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house. Hire, train, coach, and supervise managers, cooks, baristas, cashiers, and service staff. Create employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing during peak hours. Maintain high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food sanitation regulations. Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships. Control food and labor costs while maximizing profitability. Resolve customer concerns professionally and ensure guest satisfaction. Review sales reports, labor reports, and operating expenses to identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer retention. Maintain company policies, procedures, and operational standards. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment and lead by example. Qualifications Management experience in a restaurant or café is preferred . Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Experience with scheduling, inventory management, and budgeting. Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure. Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications. Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
