  • Full-time Lead a high-volume scratch kitchen with steady year-round business, an established team, and ownership actively invested in strengthening operations long-term.
This is a hands-on Kitchen Manager role for a strong BOH leader who wants real influence inside an established independent restaurant, not a corporate system. We are hiring a full-time Kitchen Manager for a busy neighborhood restaurant in Eastampton, NJ. The kitchen operates with consistent lunch and dinner volume and focuses on seafood, steaks, sautéed dishes, and tavern favorites in a fast-paced scratch environment. This role is built for someone who can lead from the line, maintain standards during active service, support the kitchen team, and help create stronger daily consistency across BOH operations. You will work directly with ownership and play an important role in stabilizing structure, accountability, organization, and execution in the kitchen. Compensation $75,000

You will actively work alongside the kitchen team during service while helping oversee day-to-day BOH operations, kitchen organization, food quality, ordering, inventory, prep systems, and overall execution. The restaurant has an established customer base, steady business, existing operational systems, and ownership committed to improving consistency and strengthening long-term kitchen structure. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who can bring leadership, accountability, communication, and calm execution during busy service. Responsibilities Lead kitchen operations during high-volume lunch and dinner service Support and work the line during peak periods Maintain consistency, organization, and ticket flow during active service Oversee ordering, inventory, receiving, and vendor communication Maintain food quality, recipe consistency, and portion standards Train, support, and help develop a 5-10 person BOH team Maintain food safety, sanitation, and kitchen organization Help strengthen kitchen systems, accountability, and daily structure Communicate clearly with ownership and kitchen staff Support prep, scheduling, and shift execution as needed Qualifications Previous Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or BOH leadership experience required Strong scratch kitchen experience required High-volume restaurant experience required Strong sauté and hot line experience Experience with ordering and inventory management preferred Ability to lead calmly during busy service Food safety knowledge required (ServSafe a plus) Reliable transportation required Stable work history preferred What Makes This Role Attractive Established independent restaurant with steady year-round business Ownership actively invested in strengthening operations Existing systems and operational structure already in place Hands-on leadership role with real influence inside the kitchen Consistent volume and established customer base Weekly pay and strong compensation package Long-term growth opportunity Respectful, team-oriented kitchen environment No corporate layers or unnecessary bureaucracy Location Eastampton, NJ Reliable transportation is required.
