Job Description
Position Overview Faber Coe & Gregg is seeking an experienced and results-driven Multi-Unit General Manager to oversee the daily operations of our high-volume Secaucus location, which includes a Dunkin' restaurant, retail convenience store, and bar operation . This position is responsible for leading the entire operation, developing supervisors and team members, delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales and profitability, controlling labor and operating costs, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong food and beverage management experience who can successfully manage multiple business concepts within one location. Dunkin' experience is strongly preferred. The General Manager must be committed to following and enforcing all Dunkin' brand standards, recipes, procedures, food-safety requirements, company policies, and applicable laws. Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development Lead, coach, and develop managers, supervisors, and hourly team members. Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, and retain high-performing employees. Establish clear expectations and hold the management team accountable for results. Conduct regular manager meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews. Build a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. Lead by example and maintain a strong presence throughout all areas of the operation. Develop future leaders through ongoing training and coaching. Address employee performance and conduct issues promptly and professionally. Dunkin' Operations & Brand Standards Ensure the Dunkin' operation consistently follows all Dunkin' brand standards, recipes, procedures, and operating systems . Ensure proper execution of product preparation, quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and guest service standards. Maintain readiness for Dunkin' field evaluations, inspections, and operational reviews. Execute new product launches, promotions, marketing initiatives, and brand programs. Ensure all team members receive appropriate training on Dunkin' procedures and standards. Partner effectively with Dunkin' Field Operations and other brand representatives when necessary. Food Safety & Compliance Maintain a safe, sanitary, and compliant food-service environment. Ensure the location is prepared for and successfully passes health department and EcoSure inspections . Conduct regular internal food-safety and sanitation inspections. Immediately address food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, or operational deficiencies. Ensure proper food handling, temperature control, storage, labeling, cleaning, and sanitation procedures. Maintain all required food-safety documentation and records. Ensure employees are properly trained in food safety and sanitation procedures. Retail & Bar Operations Oversee the daily operation of the retail/convenience store and bar. Maintain appropriate product levels, merchandising, pricing, cleanliness, and inventory controls. Ensure bar operations follow all company policies, applicable laws, and responsible-service requirements. Monitor customer service and operational standards across all three business areas. Identify opportunities to increase sales through merchandising, suggestive selling, promotions, and improved customer service. Sales & Profitability Develop and execute action plans to increase sales and profitability. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance. Review P&L results and key performance indicators. Control food, beverage, retail, labor, and operating costs. Manage labor to meet customer demand while maintaining productivity and profitability. Monitor waste, inventory, product mix, and purchasing. Identify opportunities to improve gross profit and reduce unnecessary expenses. Hold managers accountable for financial and operational results. Customer Experience Create and maintain a strong customer-focused culture. Ensure customers receive friendly, fast, accurate, and professional service. Monitor customer feedback and resolve customer concerns appropriately. Maintain a clean, organized, welcoming, and professional environment. Coach managers and employees on service standards and guest recovery. Operational Excellence Ensure all shifts are properly staffed and operational. Maintain effective opening and closing procedures. Ensure accurate cash handling and cash-management procedures. Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, and vendor relationships. Monitor equipment and facility conditions and follow up on maintenance needs. Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed. Complete required operational reports and follow-up action plans.
Experience & Qualifications Required:
Minimum 5 years of management experience in food and beverage, restaurant, hospitality, QSR, retail, or convenience-store operations . Proven experience leading and developing a team. Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations. Demonstrated ability to manage sales, labor, inventory, and operating costs. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Strong computer and POS-system skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, and special events as business needs require. Ability to successfully complete required company and brand training.Preferred:
Previous Dunkin' Donuts management experience strongly preferred . Experience managing multiple business concepts within one location. Experience with Dunkin' operating systems and brand standards. Experience preparing for or managing health, food-safety, EcoSure, or similar inspections. Experience managing a high-volume restaurant or travel/transportation-location operation. Experience with P&L management, labor planning, inventory control, and sales growth.
