Job Description
General Manager (Front of House) - Immediate Hire Busy Oceanfront Restaurant - Spring Lake, NJ We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the daily operations of our high-volume, oceanfront restaurant. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of restaurant management experience , excels in fast-paced environments, and is committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while developing high-performing teams. Responsibilities Lead all front and back-of-house operations with a hands-on management style. Recruit, train, coach, and develop managers and hourly staff. Drive outstanding guest satisfaction and resolve issues professionally. Manage labor, scheduling, payroll, food and beverage costs, and overall profitability. Maintain high standards for service, cleanliness, food quality, and operational consistency. Oversee inventory, purchasing, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with health, safety, labor, and alcohol service regulations. Conduct daily manager meetings, pre-shift meetings, and performance reviews. Utilize restaurant systems including POS, 7shifts, payroll, and inventory reporting. Partner with ownership to achieve financial goals and grow the business. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of restaurant management experience , preferably as a General Manager or Senior FOH Manager. Proven success managing high-volume, full-service restaurants. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Financial acumen with experience controlling labor and operating costs. Ability to lead by example, motivate teams, and build a culture of accountability. Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays .
