Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading all aspects of store operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations, driving business results, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and developing high-performing teams. The ideal candidate is an experienced retail leader who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Essential Responsibilities Support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of store operations, including the front end and all store departments. Drive sales performance while managing labor, expenses, and operational efficiencies. Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and operational coordination to support business needs. Partner with department managers to establish goals, monitor performance, and achieve operational objectives. Execute merchandising initiatives, promotional programs, and weekly sales events. Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety standards. Partner with corporate teams to maintain merchandising, inventory, and presentation standards. Support employee development through coaching, training, performance management, and engagement initiatives. Foster a collaborative, respectful, and accountable work environment. Provide leadership and guidance to department managers and associates to maintain high operational standards. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally to ensure an outstanding shopping experience. Monitor store performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and operational effectiveness. Qualifications Minimum of five (5) years of management experience in a high-volume retail, grocery, supermarket, warehouse, or wholesale environment. Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams. Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. Experience managing sales performance, labor, inventory, and operating expenses. Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities. Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business needs require.
