West Caldwell, NJ Job Details Full-time $51,000 - $56,500 a year 17 hours ago Qualifications Meal preparation Food & beverage production Accounting Full Job Description Café Manager - Continuing Care Retirement Community Nutrition Management Services Company is seeking a hands-on Café Manager to lead the daily operation of a busy resident and guest café within a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). The café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner seven days a week . The ideal candidate combines culinary experience with a strong front-of-the-house personality and enjoys creating an exceptional dining experience for residents and guests. Responsibilities Manage daily café operations, including food quality, service, staffing, sanitation, and cash controls. Maintain a visible, hands-on presence during meal periods and build strong relationships with residents. Train, schedule, and supervise café culinary and service staff. Work closely with the Hospitality Chef Manager to elevate food quality, presentation, variety, and hospitality. Manage POS transactions, resident accounts, reporting, and daily reconciliation. Support food cost, inventory, ordering, portion control, and waste management. Provide management coverage for other Dining Services managers during days off and vacations. Assist with Main Dining Room operations , special events, and other areas of Dining Services as needed. Qualifications Restaurant, café, senior living, or hospitality management experience. Culinary experience required with the ability to support food preparation and production when needed. Strong, outgoing front-of-the-house presence and commitment to resident service. Experience with FullCount POS or a similar system preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
