Job Description

Position Summary The Millburn Delicatessen is seeking an experienced, high-volume General Manager to lead daily operations and deliver exceptional hospitality, food quality, speed, and operational excellence. The General Manager oversees all aspects of the restaurant including team leadership, hiring and training, scheduling, cost control, inventory, food quality, guest experience, and compliance with company standards. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for building a positive culture, developing team members, and ensuring the deli operates efficiently and profitably. The General Manager must understand and be able to work any position in the restaurant-including register and sandwich production when needed. Key Responsibilities Lead daily restaurant operations to ensure exceptional guest experience and consistent food quality Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop team members and managers Build and maintain a positive, high-performance team culture Manage labor, food cost, ordering, inventory, and operational expenses Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and company standards Maintain facility cleanliness, equipment functionality, and operational readiness Resolve guest concerns and ensure a culture of hospitality Manage scheduling, payroll accuracy, and team accountability Oversee front- and back-of-house systems including POS and operational technology Qualifications Management experience in a high-volume restaurant, deli, or quick-service environment Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy hospitality environment ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months) Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced kitchen and service environment.

From $70,000.00 per year
