Job Summary We are on the lookout for an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Manager to lead our restaurant team through busy service hours. This role is all about keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring guests have a fantastic experience, and supporting staff to deliver top-notch food and service. Responsibilities Oversee daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring efficient food preparation, service, and customer satisfaction. Manage staff schedules, assign tasks, and supervise team members to maintain high standards of service and food quality. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and balancing registers. Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures across all areas of the restaurant. Support inventory control efforts by monitoring stock levels, assisting with ordering, and minimizing waste. Train new staff members and provide ongoing training & development to enhance team skills in food production, customer service, and safety protocols. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to ensure a positive dining experience for all customers. Qualifications Proven experience in food service management or restaurant supervision, ideally within quick service & fast food or casual dining environments. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential. Demonstrated leadership skills with previous management or assistant manager experience. Excellent communication skills for interviewing, staff training, and customer interactions. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hospitality management. Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
