Job Description
Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Food and Beverage Manager to lead our dynamic hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional service quality, efficient management of resources, and adherence to food safety standards. Your leadership will drive the success of our restaurant or catering services, creating memorable experiences for our guests while maintaining profitability and operational excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional passionate about culinary excellence and team development. Duties Manage daily restaurant or catering operations, including supervising staff, coordinating food preparation, and ensuring timely service delivery. Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and compliance with health regulations to guarantee a safe dining environment. Implement inventory control procedures, monitor stock levels, and coordinate food ordering to minimize waste and control costs. Lead staff training initiatives focused on customer service excellence, food handling, POS system operation,and kitchen procedures. Handle cash management responsibilities such as cash handling, reconciliation, and POS system troubleshooting. Conduct performance evaluations, interview prospective team members, and facilitate staff development programs to foster a high-performing team. Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings while maintaining high-quality service standards. Skills Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food production across casual dining, fine dining, or catering environments. Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills. Proven management experience in fast-paced restaurant or hospitality settings with supervisory responsibilities. Deep understanding of food safety management practices, inventory control, and food handling regulations. Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on team management, staff training & development, and effective communication skills. Strong organizational skills in shift management, kitchen management, and managing hospitality teams to ensure smooth operations. Ability to perform basic math calculations for budgeting, pricing strategies, and profit analysis; experience with food cost control is preferred.
