Full-Time Assistant Deli Manager External post

Pay Rate Starting at: Level $17.15/ hr Rates of pay are determined by previous experience and labor contract seniority.

SUMMARY The mission of all Tops associates is to adhere to the Tops vision of providing a friendly neighborhood store that saves the customer time and money. The Assistant Deli manager must possess reasonable knowledge in storing, preparing, and maintaining deli products, as well as demonstrate competency in inventory control, ordering and receiving product, and labor management/scheduling. Strong organizational skills, as well as prioritizing multiple tasks are required. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide attentive and courteous customer service by fulfilling customer requests for deli products Follow all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies regarding Deli operations, safety, and sanitation Maintain and enforce a clean as you go policy to ensure sanitary conditions at all times Assist in the achievement of financial goals such as sales, gross profit maximization, as well as minimization of shrink and supply expense Adhere to company policy through proper processing, preparation, and packaging of product Follow all store Shrink guidelines with regard to keeping track of all discards Complete all necessary paperwork relating to Deli Department (i.e.:

KLT, SIR380

) Ensure proper temperatures are maintained in cooler, and cases and are in working condition Follow direction of Deli Manager and act in their place when absent, perform tasks as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be at least 18 years of age

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Ability to read, write, and perform basic math functions Possess basic computer skills Possess strong communication skills
