Job Description

Oceana, a longstanding upscale seafood restaurant in Midtown, is looking for an individual to join their management team!
ROLE:
The Floor Manager will be tasked with managing the front-of-house team through each service, while maintaining both a positive workplace environment for our employees and a fantastic dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have full-time availability. Ability to close the restaurant is a must.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take part in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant
  • Training new staff members
  • Lead by example, inspiring staff to deliver a memorable food and beverage experience
  • Display a genuine passion to facilitate and exceed guest service expectations
  • Ensure the delivery of superior customer service through effective staff training and education
  • Develop and maintain strong and positive rapport with staff and guests
QUALIFICATIONS
(PREFERRED, BUT
NOT REQUIRED
):
  • Prior experience leading a premium food and beverage operation in some capacity
  • Business oriented mindset that promotes both positivity and professionalism
  • Strong commitment to overall guest satisfaction.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability recognize potential problems and work with a team to solve them
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills, including the ability to handle conflicting deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent wine and spirit knowledge
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Full-time availability
