Assistant Manager - Restaurant

Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic hospitality team as an Assistant Manager - Restaurant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through effective management and leadership. This energetic position offers the opportunity to oversee daily restaurant operations, supervise staff, ensure food safety standards, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including supervising staff and ensuring smooth shift transitions Oversee food preparation and food handling processes to meet safety and quality standards Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation Conduct staff training sessions on customer service, food safety, food production, and operational procedures Monitor inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage stock levels to minimize waste Support kitchen management by supervising food production, ensuring proper food safety practices, and maintaining cleanliness Lead team management efforts by interviewing candidates, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment Analyze profit and loss reports to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost reduction Ensure compliance with health regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols in all areas of operation Assist with budgeting, scheduling, shift management, and implementing training & development initiatives Experience Proven assistant manager or supervisory experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is highly desirable Strong background in food safety management, inventory control, and food handling procedures Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through training, coaching, and performance management Experience in managing casual dining or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred; banquet or catering experience is a plus Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage staff schedules, interviewing processes, and managerial communication Familiarity with budgeting processes, profit & loss analysis, and cost control strategies in a restaurant environment Knowledge of hospitality management principles including customer service excellence and team leadership skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and high standards of service Join us if you're passionate about leading hospitality teams to deliver memorable dining experiences! Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hour
