Role Overview The General Manager is responsible for leading a profitable, high-performing restaurant that consistently delivers outstanding quality, service, and cleanliness. This role oversees daily operations, develops managers and crew members, ensures food safety and brand standards, and drives action plans that improve sales, profitability, team performance, and the guest experience. As the restaurant's role model, the General Manager leads with energy, accountability, and integrity while fostering a positive team environment and motivating the team to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities LMA:

Lead, manage, and hold the restaurant team accountable for results. Ensure the restaurant is staffed appropriately to deliver a high level of service and meet guest expectations. Develop, train, and motivate crew members, shift leaders, and managers. Grow the business by increasing sales, guest counts, and overall restaurant performance. Manage controllable profit-and-loss line items and analyze financial statements to identify opportunities for improvement. Maintain company standards for quality, service, cleanliness, safety, and security. Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures, and operational systems. Complete and train the team on administrative responsibilities such as food cost management, scheduling, hiring, and related tasks. Review service reports and create action plans to improve service, sales, and guest satisfaction. Maintain and troubleshoot restaurant equipment as needed. Prepare for and conduct meetings with crew and managers to align on goals and expectations. Conduct performance reviews, weekly walk-throughs, one-on-one development meetings, and other coaching conversations. Maintain the GM scorecard and ensure required checklists, including monthly food safety requirements, are completed. De-escalate challenging situations professionally and coach the team to do the same. Assist with coverage and support for restaurants as needed, including during absences, transitions, or special projects. Complete other projects or tasks as assigned. Skills and Requirements Full-time availability, including flexibility to support restaurant needs. Ability to work approximately 45-50 hours per week. Reliable transportation. Completion of required department and system training, or willingness to complete required training. Strong leadership, team-building, communication, and organizational skills. Commitment to achieving results and improving restaurant performance. Ability to demonstrate restaurant duties and tasks at an expert level.
