The Mercury Diner is a retro-futuristic diner known for its ambiance, elevated comfort food and exceptional service. We pride ourselves on creating a special environment where all diners feel welcome. We are looking for a diligent and enthusiastic Busser to join our team and help keep our diner running smoothly.
Position Overview :
We are looking for a reliable, sharp, and high-energy Kitchen Lead to run the daily back-of-house operations at our busy diner. You will be the "floor general" on the diner line. You will lead a talented team of experienced line cooks, manage ticket times, ensure food quality, and serve as the primary point of contact for daily kitchen operations. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Run the
Floor:
Manage the expo window, coordinate ticket flow during peak rushes, and maintain total consistency and speed. Be the
Point Person:
Act as the first line of defense for the kitchen staff and front-of-house team regarding daily issues, missing prep, or shift changes.
Maintain Standards:
Enforce kitchen cleanliness, safety protocols, opening/closing checklists, and line setup. Support the
Team:
Step onto the line to cook or assist when the rush hits.
Inventory Control:
Report low stock to the Head Chef, and ensure proper food rotation (FIFO).
Pay:
$21.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 45.0 - 50.0 per week
