Friday Job Summary:
As the House Manager for Zelie's Home, you play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing environment where pregnant and parenting women receive comprehensive support. Your responsibilities span financial oversight, team leadership, and collaborative efforts to ensure the well-being of residents and the smooth operation of the nonprofit.
Responsibilities:
Supervisory As the leader of the in-home team, nurture a culture of professionalism, love and support for the moms and the Community Life Assistant, creating an environment of stability. Supervise and empower your home's Community Life Assistants (CLA) and PRN staff members. Develop the duty schedules, including shifts, vacations, holidays and days off. Organize CLA vacations in a way that works for the home and keeps the home's Google doc vacation schedule up to date. Make sure all positions are filled, that replacements are assigned during vacation, and transitions are smooth. Maintain a relationship with all CLA staff via check-in meetings (conduct every six weeks or more frequently as needed). Supervise the implementation of policies in the home. Model and ensure adherence to the Core Values and Staff Norms & Expectations and Community Guidelines. Schedule and facilitate monthly CLA House meetings to discuss concerns, scheduling needs, and professional development. Prepare and distribute an agenda in advance, incorporating input from CLAs to ensure meetings are relevant and collaborative. In conjunction with the Programs Manager, coordinate programming and assist CLAs with enrichment programming implementation. Provide house coverage on programming days, including shift notes and documentation. Create a weekly chore chart and house announcements for the house that includes participation from moms, staff and volunteers. Consult with the Facility Manager for household and maintenance needs. Any major purchases and repairs need approval by the Director of Housing and Resident Services (DHRS). In consultation with the DHRS, advocate for budget changes on behalf of the home. Ensure that the home maintains a welcoming and professional first impression by overseeing completion of household chores, communal cleanliness, and overall tour-ready conditions. Yearly submit budget needs based on a projection for the following year. Forecast regular maintenance needs and major purchases for the house and budget accordingly. Works in collaboration with the Facility Manager to ensure the home is in working order including facilities, utilities, vehicles. Maintain clear documentation of staff meetings, maintenance requests, behavioral incidents, and volunteer participation to ensure continuity of care and program integrity. Assist in the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of CLA and PRN staff, ensuring new team members understand policies, culture, and expectations. Financial Ensure financial accountability to the house budget and timely reporting regarding budget, house credit cards, gift cards, etc. Responsible for credit card reconciliation monthly. Approve and submit vendor bills regularly. Forecast regular maintenance needs and major purchases for the house and budget accordingly. Create a grocery list that is semi specific to the tastes/cultures in the house, and coordinate purchasing the items for the community every week. Collaborative Leadership Efforts Participate in the on-call rotation for in-home emergencies. Participate in meetings with appropriate teams for easy and transparent information sharing. Coordinate decisions with the managerial team. In conjunction with the Therese Case Manager and Social Worker, utilize the protocol for considering mom dismissal when considering prior to asking a mom to leave or giving notices that affect safe housing. If issues arise and/or final decision is needed, consult the Director of Housing and Resident Services then Executive Director. Be available for emergency/crisis/major issues that arise at the house. Provide onsite support to the Community Life Assistants during crisis or emergency situations. Be intentionally aware of conflicts, difficulties or stressors. Coordinate with a mental health provider to deescalate the situation. Follow up with the Director of Housing and Resident Services. Mediates and leads important conversation/safe space conversations with moms, staff, volunteers etc as needed. Schedule and facilitate morning huddles with the home team. Increase communication with Social Worker in order to ascertain information on how to respond to the moms' needs. Share this information with the CLAs and PRNs. In collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator, facilitate Serve Saturday (usually the 2nd Saturday of the month). Delegate decoration of and updates to birthday wall, calendar, staff wall, and volunteer wall. In coordination with in home team, ensure rooms and home are ready and welcoming for new moms. Delegate tasks as necessary. In collaboration with the Volunteer Coordinator and in-home staff, coordinate volunteer groups and individual volunteers serving in the home to ensure alignment with household needs, scheduling, and a welcoming experience. Support and uphold household accountability by collaboratively writing and issuing levels with the in-home team, in alignment with the Community Guidelines. Ensure residents receive consistent, respectful communication and follow-through around expectations and consequences. Staff the annual Embrace Gala and at least one additional fundraising event per calendar year as a representative, supporting Zelie's Home's mission and donor engagement efforts. Assumes any additional projects or tasks as assigned by the Director of Housing and Resident Services.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in related field Excellence in organizational, supervisory and communications skills. Experience working with people from diverse, racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds Alignment with Zelie's Home core values and sanctity of human life. Valid driver's license with good driving record and proof of insurance. Computer literacy in Google Suite, Office Suite, and Slack.
Preferred Qualifications:
BA in related field Understanding of community living, cultural competencies, and the intersectional nature of homelessness, poverty, ACEs, and trauma informed care. Experience with and or exposure to infants.
