Job Description
Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and profitability of the hotel. This role oversees daily operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and guest services to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and compliance with brand standards. The General Manager leads the team to achieve operational excellence while maintaining high guest satisfaction scores and maximizing revenue. Key ResponsibilitiesHotel Operations Oversee all daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Breakfast service. Ensure the hotel operates in compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety regulations. Maintain exceptional cleanliness and service standards throughout the property. Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Financial Management Manage the hotel's operating budget and control expenses. Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports including: Occupancy ADR (Average Daily Rate) RevPAR Labor costs Identify opportunities to increase revenue and profitability. Team Leadership Recruit, hire, train, and develop hotel staff. Schedule employees to ensure proper coverage while controlling labor costs. Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork and guest service. Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching. Guest Experience Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and maintain strong online review scores. Respond to guest feedback through surveys and online platforms. Maintain a welcoming environment that reflects the brand's hospitality standards. Sales & Revenue Work with the sales team to drive room revenue and occupancy. Build relationships with local businesses, corporate accounts, and community partners. Implement strategies to maximize revenue through rate management and market analysis. Brand & Compliance Ensure compliance with brand requirements, audits, and operational standards. Maintain accurate records for inspections and brand reviews. Ensure safety, security, and emergency procedures are followed. QualificationsRequired 3-5 years of hotel management experience. Strong leadership and team management skills. Experience managing budgets and financial reporting. Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of hotel property management systems. Preferred Previous experience as Assistant General Manager or Operations Manager. Experience with hotel brand standards and audits. Hospitality, business, or management degree.
