In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily restaurant activities, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage staff to deliver a memorable dining experience. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, maintain food safety standards, and foster a positive team environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your management skills in a fast-paced, vibrant setting where every shift counts toward success. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate restaurant activities during your shift, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to quality standards. Lead and motivate staff through effective training, coaching, and performance management to uphold high levels of customer service. Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality expectations. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Control inventory levels through regular stock checks, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Monitor restaurant cleanliness, food safety practices, and sanitation standards in line with health regulations. Handle customer inquiries or complaints promptly to ensure satisfaction and foster positive guest experiences. Assist with budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to maximize operational efficiency. Support kitchen management tasks including food production oversight and coordinating catering or banquet services when applicable. Participate in staff hiring processes such as interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members. Ensure compliance with all food safety certifications and hospitality management protocols across shifts. Experience Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety management. Demonstrated leadership skills with supervising experience in hospitality or restaurant settings; capable of managing teams effectively. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for transaction processing and sales tracking. Background in food industry management including inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis. Experience working in casual dining or fine dining establishments; banquet or catering experience is a plus. Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. Knowledge of food handling regulations, sanitation standards, and health & safety protocols within the hospitality sector. Previous assistant manager or shift management experience preferred; hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous.
