Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our vibrant dining establishment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, operational excellence, and team success. Your leadership will drive the restaurant's growth, maintain high standards of food quality and safety, and foster a positive, motivated work environment. Duties Lead and manage daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff coordination to ensure seamless guest experiences. Oversee inventory control, food safety compliance, and cost management to optimize profitability and minimize waste. Supervise and train staff across all departments, including front-of-house serving teams and kitchen personnel, promoting continuous development and high performance. Implement effective shift management strategies to ensure smooth transitions between busy periods while maintaining service quality. Manage POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting. Conduct regular staff interviews, performance reviews, and training sessions to build a skilled and motivated team. Maintain high standards of hospitality, customer service, and food handling to exceed guest expectations consistently. Coordinate with culinary teams for food production, catering events, banquet services, and special functions like weddings or corporate gatherings. Ensure compliance with all health regulations and food safety standards while fostering a culture of cleanliness and food quality. Skills Extensive experience in restaurant management with a strong background in food service operations across casual dining, fine dining, or quick service environments. Proficiency in managing POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; adept at cash handling and financial reconciliation. Proven skills in inventory control, food safety protocols, and kitchen management to ensure efficient food production and quality assurance. Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams, conducting training & development programs, and fostering a positive work environment. Strong understanding of hospitality management principles including customer service excellence, shift management, and staff interviewing techniques. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as budgeting, food cost analysis, and operational planning effectively. Experience with catering services, banquet operations or hotel restaurant settings is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to problem-solving within fast-paced environments.
