This role steps into restaurants facing staffing gaps, performance challenges, or leadership transitions and quickly establishes structure, accountability, and standards. Unlike a traditional General Manager, the Floater GM is expected to rapidly assess conditions, implement corrective actions, and transition the restaurant back to stability while supporting long-term leadership success. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities 1. Operational Leadership & Stabilization Step into assigned locations and immediately assess operational performance, identifying gaps in staffing, execution, and compliance Ensure adherence to brand standards, food safety, and cleanliness requirements Lead execution of shift routines, deployment planning, and operational systems to stabilize performance Drive rapid completion of audit corrective actions and resolve operational deficiencies ________________________________________ 2. People Leadership & Team Alignment Quickly establish credibility and leadership with existing teams Reinforce expectations for performance, accountability, and conduct Execute onboarding, orientation, and training processes as needed Provide realtime coaching and performance feedback Support staffing recovery, including hiring, scheduling, and shift coverage planning Create a positive, productive work environment aligned with company values ________________________________________ 3. Guest Experience Excellence Ensure consistent execution of guest service standards Address and resolve guest complaints promptly and effectively Train team members on guest recovery and service expectations Monitor and improve guest satisfaction performance using company tools and feedback systems ________________________________________ 4. Financial & Business Performance Identify and address the root causes of poor financial performance Manage key cost drivers including labor, inventory, and waste Ensure accurate inventory practices and minimize variance Execute salesbuilding initiatives and operational improvements Maintain cash handling integrity and ensure proper controls are followed ________________________________________ 5. Problem Solving & Change Management Lead in highpressure or ambiguous environments with strong decisionmaking skills Implement immediate operational and staffing solutions to stabilize performance Adapt to new teams, processes, and challenges quickly Maintain composure and effectiveness during periods of change or transition ________________________________________ 6.
