The manager of a kitchen is responsible for the quality of food and is in charge of all areas of operation in the process of serving the school lunch. The manager places orders for all food and supplies to the food service office, plans the distribution of work for all personnel, supervises the preparation and serving of all meals, keeps records and inventories, checks on the sanitation of the kitchen, and is responsible to the principal of the school. The responsibility for the cheerfulness and productivity of people and attractiveness of the food and service is of utmost importance.
