Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Manager to join our restaurant team. In this role, you'll be the driving force behind smooth daily operations, ensuring our guests enjoy top-notch service and delicious food in a lively, welcoming atmosphere. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, experience in restaurants and eager to lead and motivate a dynamic team. Your leadership will help create memorable dining experiences while maintaining high standards of food safety, quality, and efficiency. Duties Oversee daily restaurant operations, including shift management, staff scheduling, and ensuring smooth service flow. Lead and supervise restaurant staff, providing training on food preparation, POS systems like Aloha and Micros, customer service, and food safety protocols. Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability. Ensure all food handling and preparation meet safety standards while maintaining high-quality culinary presentation. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, perform cash handling duties, and reconcile daily sales reports. Support kitchen management by coordinating food production, supervising food safety practices, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Assist with interviewing and onboarding new team members to build a strong hospitality team committed to excellence. Experience Proven experience in restaurant management or assistant manager roles within casual dining or fast-food environments. Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations in diverse settings including fine dining or catering. Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and sales tracking. Strong background in food safety management, inventory control, budgeting, and profit & loss analysis. Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams, training staff, and managing hospitality teams effectively. Experience managing shift schedules, conducting interviews, and developing team members through training & development initiatives. Knowledge of the food industry trends including catering, banquet services, bar operations, coffee service, and food production.
