  • Full-time Tamashii Ramen is growing, and we are currently looking for an experienced and driven General Manager (GM) to lead our Norman location.
Tamashii operates successful restaurants in Midtown, Edmond, and Norman, and continues to grow with a strong focus on culture, consistency, and quality. This role reports directly to the operation manager and plays a key part in the continued success of the Norman store. Our vision at Tamashii is to transport our guests to Japan through authentic ramen, thoughtful service, and attention to detail—creating an experience that feels genuine, welcoming, and memorable from the moment they walk in. Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Norman restaurant, including operations, financial performance, team development, and guest experience. This role requires a strong, hands-on leader who can manage both the kitchen and front-of-house, develop high-performing teams, and consistently execute company standards in a high-volume environment. The GM sets the tone for the entire restaurant—driving culture, accountability, and excellence across every shift. Core ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Culture Build, lead, and develop a strong management and hourly team Create a positive, respectful, and high-performing work environment Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable Lead regular manager meetings and ongoing staff development Guest Experience & Hospitality Ensure a consistently high level of hospitality and service execution Actively manage and resolve guest concerns Drive guest satisfaction, repeat visits, and reputation Operations & Execution Oversee all daily restaurant operations across FOH and BOH Ensure all systems, policies, and procedures are followed consistently Maintain organization, cleanliness, and efficiency throughout the restaurant Step into service roles when needed to support the team Financial Performance Manage budgets, labor, and cost controls to meet financial targets Analyze reports to identify opportunities and improve performance Ensure proper cash handling, inventory management, and purchasing Food & Beverage Quality Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, and presentation Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are always met Partner with kitchen leadership to control costs without sacrificing quality Staffing & HR Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management Ensure every shift is staffed with trained and motivated team members Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary Develop team members for long-term growth Facility & Compliance Maintain the physical restaurant, equipment, and overall environment Ensure compliance with all health, safety, labor, and alcohol regulations Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and vendor services What We're Looking For We're looking for a leader who can build leaders, create a strong culture, and consistently reflect our core values in how they lead, coach, and operate. Skills & Qualifications Minimum 2-3 years of General Manager or senior leadership experience in high-volume restaurants Strong understanding of both kitchen and front-of-house operations Proven ability to manage financial performance (labor, food cost, budgeting) Excellent leadership, coaching, and team-building skills Guest-first mindset with strong attention to detail Ability to stay organized, decisive, and calm under pressure Strong communication and problem-solving skills Must be 21 years of age or older Why Join Tamashii?
