Job Description
The Assistant General Manager is responsible for supporting daily kitchen and restaurant operations while ensuring food quality, food safety, and operational excellence in a fast-paced airport environment. This role focuses on recruiting, developing, coaching, and motivating team members to achieve high culinary and operational standards, maintain efficient kitchen execution, and support restaurant profitability. Working alongside restaurant leadership, the Assistant General Manager ensures consistent food preparation, inventory management, safety compliance, and an exceptional dining experience for travelers while fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability. Lead, coach, and develop kitchen team members to deliver consistent food quality and execution. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management. Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring adherence to recipes, quality standards, and production goals. Monitor labor, food, and operating costs to support profitability objectives. Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and health regulations. Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and waste control processes. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment. Partner with restaurant leadership to improve operational efficiency and drive business results. Assist in resolving operational challenges while supporting overall guest satisfaction. Foster a culture of engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
