Compensation:
$25.00/Hour | $95,000 - $120,000 total salary equivalent (with average OT and housing benefits included!)
Reporting To:
Office Manager & President The Opportunity at Decker Farms Decker Farms, Inc. is seeking an experienced, bilingual Field & Farm General Manager to lead our permanent and seasonal agricultural operations. Reporting directly to the Office Manager and the President, you will spearhead daily operations across our premier fruit, berry, and hazelnut fields. If you are a hands-on leader who excels in high-stakes seasonal environments, this role offers incredible stability, independent management authority, and a premium living arrangement.
Your Main Responsibilities Lead Large Teams:
Manage, train, and schedule irrigation workers, equipment operators, and seasonal crews averaging 60 workers.
Equipment & Field Operation:
Personally operate tractors and harvest equipment while managing the maintenance of all specialized farm machinery.
Optimize Crop Yields:
Execute data-driven crop plans, soil testing, nutrient tracking, and cultivation timelines.
Coordinate Logistics:
Sync field operations with the Plant Manager during peak harvest seasons to optimize processing plant logistics.
Enforce Strict Compliance:
Ensure complete alignment with OSHA, food safety standards (FSMA/HACCP), and pesticide regulations. What You Bring to the
Table Language Skills:
Fully bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
Machinery & Trade Skills:
Proven experience operating tractors and harvest equipment, plus hands-on welding and basic electrical skills for field repairs.
Background Check:
Must be able to pass a standard criminal background check.
Certifications:
Valid Driver's License. (
Note:
Pesticide Applicator, Food Safety, and Safety/First Aid certifications can be obtained post-hire if not currently held).
Flexibility:
Willingness to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak harvest and processing seasons.

$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
