We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Dining Services Director to lead our culinary team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations while creating an exceptional dining experience for our residents. The ideal candidate is an organized leader who is passionate about quality food, employee development, and preparing nutritious, flavorful meals using fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients whenever possible. Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, train, and supervise all kitchen employees. Recruit, onboard, and develop new culinary staff. Schedule employees and manage daily kitchen operations. Develop creative, seasonal menus that emphasize fresh, high-quality, and locally sourced ingredients while meeting resident preferences and dietary needs. Order food, supplies, and kitchen inventory while maintaining budget goals. Monitor inventory levels and control food and labor costs. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal food safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency. Collaborate with leadership to provide outstanding dining experiences for residents and guests. Oversee special events, holiday meals, and catered functions. Foster a positive, professional, and team-oriented kitchen culture. Qualifications Previous culinary experience. Previous and proven experience managing, coaching, and developing kitchen staff. Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, and cost control. Excellent organization, communication, and leadership skills. Passion for scratch cooking and commitment to using fresh seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients whenever practical. Experience building relationships with local farmers, producers, and venders is a plus. Thorough understanding of food, safety, and sanitation regulations. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Food Handler Certified (or ability to obtain) is preferred.

$59,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
