dependent on experienceResponsibilitiesRecruit, train, and supervise bakery staff (with support from department managers) - including but not limited to interviews, reference checks, training, key distribution.

Serve as point person for all staff issues and concerns.

Update and maintain all staff contacts, files, communications, birthday lists, anniversaries, food service cards, etc.

Manage time-off requests and prepare weekly work schedules for staff and find suitable replacements in cases of staff absence (this includes: FOH, Market, Wholesale, Dish, Line).Ensure all cafe expenses remain within budget and identify ways to reduce operational costs.

Support FOH Lead to resolve customer complaints regarding food quality and customer service.

Oversee all social media channels including content creation, updates, and customer engagement. Collaborate with owner on content creation.

Oversee all external customer communications (schedule changes, product updates, weekly emails, etc.). Manage/delegate all emails.

Oversee Coffee Program in collaboration with FOH Lead and Owner (ordering, menu expansion, equipment maintenance).Oversee payroll, including tip payout organization and spreadsheet. Manage pay rates in collaboration with the owner. Correct and submit all staff hours and changes. Manage weekly bank deposits and oversee tracking spreadsheet. Order change as needed. Prepare and maintain all tills (cafe and market).Maintain and troubleshoot all technology and devices for cafe/market/delivery.

Oversee special orders and events.

Review staff performance and provide feedback as needed.

Address all HR needs in collaboration with the owner. Manage feedback/discipline/hard chats.

Manage and delegate ongoing administrative projects (COVID policy, PTO/Sick Time policy, etc.)Establish holiday menus in collaboration with BOH leads and owner.

Connect with BOH leads to navigate change, volume forecasting, production needs, etc.

Order/ Maintain all office supplies.

Manage Linen Service schedules; BOH leads will notify if changes are needed.

Order oven kitchen supplies as needed; collaborate with BOH leads for inventory.

Take on ordering responsibilities if the FOH Lead is away.

Create/Maintain Ops Calendar; collaborate with department leads.

Create/Maintain all printed materials (schedules, menus, signs, market labels, cafe label); collaborate with operations manager.

Manage all equipment maintenance. RequirementsExcellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.

Exceptional customer service and conflict-resolution skills (phone, email, in person).Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Individual, organizational, time-management, attention-to-detail, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to excel with minimal supervision: keeping deadlines and contributing to a larger team.

Strong sense of initiative, creative problem-solving, flexibility, and discretion.

Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.

Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally.

Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsQualifications and ExperienceProven management experience in the hospitality industry (2+ years)Computer literacy and willingness to learn and utilize new technologies Valid driver's license
