Manager, Front of House PDX Sliders - N Williams Ave Portland, OR 97211 Full-time Full-time Position Overview The Manager, Front of House (FOH) is responsible for leading daily front-of-house restaurant operations while delivering exceptional hospitality, developing team members, and maintaining high operational standards. This role oversees front-of-house staffing, service execution, training, guest satisfaction, and shift leadership in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The Manager, FOH plays a critical role in building a positive workplace culture grounded in hospitality, teamwork, accountability, and community connection. This position leads by example, supports operational excellence, and helps ensure every guest has a welcoming and memorable experience at PDX Sliders. Qualifications Minimum 2 3 years of restaurant, hospitality, or customer service leadership experience required Previous management or supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant environment preferred Experience with scheduling, staffing, coaching, and team development Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with exceptional organizational abilities and a high level of personal accountability and self-management Demonstrated ability to lead effectively in fast-paced environments Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities Experience with cash handling, register reconciliation, and operational reporting Proficiency with restaurant and administrative technology platforms, including Square for Restaurants POS, Microsoft 365 applications, reporting tools, and digital communication systems. Current Oregon Food Handler card and OLCC permit required Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences and efficient service execution Supervise, coach, and support FOH Shift Leads and Team Members Hire, onboard, train, and develop front-of-house staff to uphold company standards and culture Create and manage staffing schedules based on business needs and labor goals Manage operational performance metrics, ensuring efficient staffing, strong service execution, and alignment with operational KPIs and business objectives. Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback, accountability, and recognition Lead by example in hospitality, professionalism, teamwork, and operational excellence Lead resolution of guest service issues and employee concerns while ensuring senior leadership is informed of significant operational, staffing, or guest-related matters in a timely manner. Ensure restaurant operations consistently meet food safety, sanitation, and OLCC compliance standards while acting as the designated Person in Charge (PIC) for health inspections and compliance-related procedures. Oversee cash handling procedures, register reconciliation, deposits, and front-of-house operational controls Take primary responsibility for front-of-house inventory control, product ordering, restocking, and maintaining day-to-day operational readiness. Maintain accurate POS system data, including product pricing, menu items, modifiers, inventory-related information, and employee records to support operational consistency and reporting accuracy. Act as a designated contact for alarm system alerts and security notifications while helping maintain restaurant safety and operational security standards. Maintain day-to-day facility maintenance needs by monitoring restaurant equipment, cleanliness, and physical maintenance needs while escalating and coordinating repairs as necessary Collaborate closely with kitchen leadership to maintain strong communication and smooth service flow Uphold company policies, procedures, and core values Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team culture Maintain open, consistent, and transparent communication with operations leadership and ownership by providing timely updates on staffing, guest concerns, operational challenges, restaurant performance, and opportunities for improvement to support accountability, operational consistency, and informed decision-making across the business What We re Looking For At PDX Sliders, we re looking for leaders who create exceptional guest experiences while building strong, supportive teams.
