Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead operations at our Jersey Mike's location in Gettysburg, PA. This is a full-autonomy leadership role where you will operate the store like a true general manager should, driving sales, controlling costs, developing your team, and delivering the guest experience Jersey Mike's is known for. This position is best suited for a proven restaurant leader who wants the accountability and earning potential that come with running a high-volume operation. Compensation $55,000 base salary plus performance-based bonuses tied to labor cost, food cost, and guest satisfaction targets. On-target annual earnings of $88,000 with strong performers earning $95,000+. Duties Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring product quality, guest experience, and Jersey Mike's brand standards are met on every shift Manage the store's P&L, with direct accountability for hitting monthly food cost and labor cost targets Build and maintain the weekly schedule for all crew and shift leaders Recruit, hire, onboard, and train new team members Manage food ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships Coach and develop crew and shift leaders through daily feedback and structured training Uphold food safety, sanitation, and health code standards at all times Drive SMG (guest satisfaction) scores through consistent operations and team accountability Handle guest concerns directly and turn them into loyalty moments Partner with ownership on longer-term store growth, marketing execution, and community engagement Maintain a minimum 45-hour workweek on-site to lead the team and cover peak business periods Qualifications 2+ years of restaurant management experience, quick-service or fast-casual preferred Proven track record hitting labor and food cost targets Comfortable managing a P&L and making decisions that impact profitability Strong leadership skills with experience hiring, training, and developing a team Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business requires ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain within 60 days) Reliable transportation What We Offer Competitive base salary plus meaningful performance bonuses Clear, transparent bonus structure tied to metrics you directly control Structured GM development plan with defined growth milestones Full operational leadership of your store, including P&L accountability and the authority to make decisions that impact results Supportive franchise ownership that invests in your success Paid time off and employee meal discounts
