Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated Assistant Manager to join our vibrant restaurant team! Responsibilities Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including shift management, staff scheduling, and ensuring operational efficiency. Lead and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service, fostering a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. Manage food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to ensure quality standards are met consistently. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy. Control inventory levels through effective stock management, ordering supplies as needed, and minimizing waste. Train and develop staff on food safety protocols, food production techniques, and customer service best practices. Monitor restaurant performance through profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and implementing strategies to maximize profitability. Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards while maintaining a clean and organized environment. Support catering, banquet events, or quick service operations as required to meet business needs. Foster a team-oriented culture by conducting interviews, staff training sessions, and performance evaluations. Experience Proven experience in food service management with a strong background in supervising hospitality teams. Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Toast; cash handling expertise is essential. Demonstrated ability to manage inventory control, food safety procedures, and food production processes. Previous roles in casual dining or fast-food restaurants with quick service experience preferred; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus. Skilled in managing budgets, analyzing profit & loss statements, and implementing cost-control measures. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams through effective training & development initiatives. Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks such as interviewing staff, managing shifts, and coordinating with kitchen teams. Knowledge of food safety management practices along with culinary experience is highly desirable.
