This is not a traditional "store manager" role. We are looking for someone who wants to operate a business like an owner — someone capable of building systems, leading a team, driving profitability, and eventually transitioning into ownership. For the right candidate, this opportunity is structured as a long-term partnership with a potential path to: Equity participation Seller-financed buyout opportunities Future expansion opportunities Financial backing for additional locations If you have ever wanted to run your own store but lacked the capital, infrastructure, or opportunity, this role is designed for you. What You'll Be Responsible ForStore Operations Oversee day-to-day store operations Develop operational systems and procedures Ensure strong customer service and resident satisfaction Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards Handle opening/closing procedures Staffing & Leadership Recruit, hire, train, and manage store staff Create schedules and manage labor costs Build a strong team culture focused on accountability and service Implement performance standards and operational expectations Inventory & Vendor Management Manage inventory levels and ordering Track shrinkage and control loss Build relationships with suppliers and distributors Optimize product mix based on resident demand and sales trends Financial Oversight Monitor sales performance and profitability Manage operating expenses Assist with budgeting and forecasting Identify opportunities to increase revenue and operational efficiency Growth & Ownership Help shape the long-term vision of the business Participate in strategic planning and scaling opportunities Work toward a potential ownership transition or operating partnership structure
What We're Looking For Ideal Candidates May Have Experience In:
Convenience stores Corner stores / bodegas Retail management Grocery operations Restaurant or quick-service management Hospitality operations Entrepreneurship or small business ownership Preferred Qualifications Experience managing employees and daily operations Strong understanding of inventory management Comfortable handling vendors and purchasing Entrepreneurial mindset with leadership ability Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership Experience improving or launching operations is a major plus Compensation & Structure Compensation will be customized based on experience and structure, but may include: Base salary Profit-sharing Performance bonuses Equity or ownership pathway Future buyout opportunity Financial backing for expansion opportunities This is designed for someone who wants to grow beyond simply "working a job."
