Production Lead

  • Up to $33/hr Job Description The Production Specialist is tasked with driving measurable improvements in uptime and throughput on the Large Bottle Line (LBL).
This is a hands-on leadership role that focuses on directing the crew to meet targets for changeover/setup times, run rates, and related tasks that keep the line producing efficiently. Coordination in real-time with support functions is critical, and the role initially focuses on one line with the potential to expand to additional lines once targets are consistently met. Responsibilities Reduce unplanned downtime against scheduled hours. Increase throughput and run rate to move realized rates toward planned standards, achieving more cases/gallons per available hour. Meet or exceed standard times for size, flavor/WIP, and label changes during changeover and setup. Maintain clean-in-place (CIP) discipline within the 2-hour standard and eliminate recurring overruns. Complete jobs in the planned sequence and quantity, minimizing cut/deferred work. Essential Skills Fluency in English and Spanish, both spoken and written. Demonstrated crew leadership in a food manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of Food Safety & Quality requirements, including GMPs and HACCP/food safety plans. Comfortable with learning and using production/ERP software, with Deacon and Red Zone preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior experience as a line lead, shift lead, or supervisor over a packaging or filling line. Familiarity with bottling, changeovers, and CIP processes. Experience coordinating across multiple departments such as maintenance, quality, and materials handling. Exposure to continuous-improvement methods like 5S, standard work, and root-cause analysis. The environment is temperature controlled and well maintained. The 1st shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday, on a fast-paced beverage manufacturing floor with multiple lines operating five to six days per week. The role involves standing, walking, occasional lifting, and brief station coverage in typical plant conditions, which include noise, moisture, temperature variation, and moving equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00
