POSITION SUMMARY
This position has the responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability. Ensures regulatory Compliance Performs rotation of all general production and labor duties in the department. This position is responsible for maintain floor clean and dispose of waste properly. This position may also fill in for other position in the department when needed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Run inedible product through centrifuge and throw waste in dumpsters. Fill barrels with liquid egg and transport liquid to alternate containers Ensures that bags and pails are properly sealed and clean. Keep production area clean and free from water and buildup. Responsible for cleaning and drying flats before sending them out. Loads stacks of dirty flats onto the track at the end of the flat washing machine. Monitor automatic mechanical loading of individual flats into flat washer ensuring the machine does not jam. Oversee entire procedure for flat washer enduring there are no jams from the time a flat enters the washing area until it exits and stacks at the other end of the machine. Monitor and oversee that stacks of clean flats enter and exit the spin dryer correctly. Remove stacks of clean dry flats from a conveyor to a nearby skid Follows proper SOP's (Standard Operation Procedures) Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures. Able to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED
No specific degree
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPEREINCE AND SKILLS
Prior manufacturing experience preferred. Able to use computer touch screens to start and stop lines as needed. Must be able to obtain and maintain a company pallet jack license. Experience with pallet jack preferred. Ability to read a limited number of two-and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. Effective communication skills. Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers. Capability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form. Demonstrates the ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships and work effectively with others to complete work assignments. Able to safely lift and carry 50lbs. Able to work independently or with others in a team environment depending upon the assignment. Self-motivated while also willing to ask questions and seek direction. Displays responsible behavior at work. Open to change. Ability to work in cold, wet, noisy, dusty and humid environments. Ability to work around required cleaning solutions. Possesses good hand-eye coordination. Able to stand on hard surface most of the shift, ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop or crouch, grasp and reach. The pay range for this position is $16.63 to $18.46 per hour.
