Lizard's Thicket is actively seeking an experienced and driven full-time Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations . Our Restaurant Manager loves fresh food, has top-notch people skills, and is dedicated to leading a crew to provide fantastic customer service . Our Restaurant Manager earns a competitive salary depending on skills and experience. ABOUT LIZARD'S THICKET
In 1977, in a home on Broad River Road in Columbia, S.C, Bob and Anna Williams opened the very first Lizard's Thicket. The phrase "home cooking" is exacting! All of our Lizard's Thicket meals were based on Anna's own recipes. In the past forty years, we have grown to 15 locations with over 700 employees! We still pride ourselves on being a place where families and groups of friends can gather for a hearty, southern cooked meal and catch up on their days. To this day, we are still owned and operated by Bob and Anna's children and grandchildren. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RESTAURANT MANAGER
In this position, you work hard to make sure our team works cohesively and that our restaurant runs smoothly. You will use your excellent leadership skills to train employees and ensure that they are well taught in their role at Lizard's Thicket. You will encourage team building and always be willing to work to ensure efficiency, quality food, and exceptional customer service. You monitor food preparation, portion sizes, and dish presentation to ensure that all served items are prepared and presented beautifully under our restaurant's standards. You will encourage our team, and use your fantastic communication skills to motivate employees while providing constructive feedback. You will have some administrative duties which will include hiring, training, and scheduling of front and back of the house staff. You are responsible for ordering all inventory, including food and equipment, as well as ensuring all restaurant equipment is maintained. Your problem-solving abilities will assist you to resolve any customer complaints that might arise. You're positive attitude, leadership abilities, and managerial experience will ensure your success.
QUALIFICATIONS
Solid experience in restaurant management Strong customer service experience Leadership experience Excellent customer service skills Exceptional communication and coaching skills High School Diploma or equivalent
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position with a schedule of consisting of both AM shifts PM shifts. This is a 5-day work week with a total of 50-55 hours. Weekend availability is required.
