The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to excellence in the kitchen. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chef Owner in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and hygiene. This position requires strong leadership skills, culinary expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This Position also requires working the line during service (5 days a week). Responsibilities Assist the Owner/Manager and Regional Chef in menu planning and development, ensuring creative and seasonal offerings. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes. Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high performance and adherence to standards. Manage inventory control and ordering of supplies to maintain optimal stock levels. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and best practices in food handling. Collaborate with the catering team for special events and banquets, ensuring seamless execution of service. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health department regulations. Participate in staff meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational improvements. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in fine dining or high-volume restaurants. Proficient Spanish Strong background in food production, catering, and restaurant management. Experience with menu planning, inventory management, and shift management. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Knowledge of food safety standards and culinary techniques. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food preparation and presentation. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards.
