Today Job Description The General Manager at Dairy Queen in Chamberlain, SD is a full-time, on-site role responsible for leading day-to-day restaurant operations. This role oversees staff scheduling, training, and performance, ensuring excellent guest service and adherence to DQ brand standards. The General Manager manages inventory, ordering, cash handling, and basic financial reporting to meet sales and profitability goals. This position maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, ensures compliance with food safety and health regulations, and handles guest feedback and issue resolution. The General Manager also supports local marketing efforts, fosters a positive team culture, and leads by example to create memorable experiences for guests. We handle all accounting responsibilities. We are a family owned restaurant that has been in operation since 2005. Pay depends on ability and responisiblities you take on. With a pay range of $50,000- 80,000. With long term options available as well. Job Requirements
- Experience in restaurant or retail management, including supervising teams, scheduling, and performance coaching.
- Operational skills in cash handling, basic financial reporting, inventory management, and cost control.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to resolve issues professionally and maintain guest satisfaction.
- Ability to maintain food safety, cleanliness, and workplace safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership abilities, including team motivation, conflict resolution, and a hands-on management style.
- Comfort using point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer applications for reporting and communication.
- Previous quick-service restaurant experience and familiarity with Dairy Queen or similar brands is a plus.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
