Job Description

General Manager - Restaurant Caprice - 3.8 Austin, TX Job Details Full-time From $95,000 a year 15 hours ago Benefits Free parking Paid time off Flexible schedule Qualifications Operations management Wine knowledge Hospitality industry experience Training & development Food service management Hospitality management Full Job Description About us and the job: Caprice is a refined coastal Italian restaurant paired with Bar Grotta, a high-energy cocktail bar designed to feel intimate, vibrant, and a little transportive. Together they create a space where thoughtful food, a strong bar program, and polished service come together in a room that feels alive. We care deeply about hospitality, the kind that comes from awareness, professionalism, and pride in the craft. As our restaurant group continues to grow, we're looking for a General Manager who wants to help build something meaningful, someone who takes real ownership of the guest experience, the team, and the business behind it. If you do not have hands on experience developing and implementing systems through new concept openings, this position is not for you. The right candidate understands how great restaurants actually work. They know that high standards live in small details. The way a table is greeted, the pacing of a service, the tone of a dining room, the last glass of wine poured at the bar. They're comfortable leading experienced staff and engaging a knowledgeable clientele, and they have the operational discipline to run a financially healthy business.
Responsibilities:
  • "Run it like you own it" mentality in the restaurant and bar. You are responsible for ensuring the refined standard is met throughout the building.
  • Work with Ownership and the Executive Chef to refine the systems, SOPs, and training structures that will allow us to scale this and future concepts.
  • Full P&L accountability. You need to be fluent in labor, COGS, and budget management, with the ability to report clearly to the partners.
  • Handle all hiring, training, and HR.
  • Be a part of a high performing culture where the staff can execute at a high level without being micromanaged. We train our teams with trust in mind.
  • Lead a team that knows their stuff.
You need the service and wine knowledge necessary to gain the respect of a high-end staff and a discerning clientele.
Requirements:
  • 5+
Years Experience:
Must be in an upscale-polished or fine-dining environment.
  • Strong foundation in formal service and a solid understanding of wine and spirits.
  • You are looking to move into executive-level operations (multi-unit) in the immediate future.
The Bottom Line:
    Salary & Bonus:
Competitive base + an achievable, performance-based bonus structure.
      Autonomy:
We want you to "run it like you own it" while we support along the way.
        Growth Path:
Explicit track to Director of Operations for our expanding portfolio.
          Perks:
Paid vacation, benefits stipend, and a parking pass.
          Pay:
          From $95,000.00 per year
          Benefits:
          Flexible schedule Paid time off
          Work Location:
          In person
