Job Description

Position Summary The General Manager is responsible for the overall daily operation, leadership, and performance of the store. This position ensures efficient operations, exceptional customer service, compliance with company standards, food safety regulations, and financial accountability. The General Manager provides leadership to all team members while serving as the primary point of communication between ownership and store staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The General Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Direct, supervise, and evaluate the work performance of all store employees to ensure efficient daily operations. Develop and publish the weekly employee work schedule based on operational needs and staffing requirements. Prepare and maintain the daily position chart to ensure all operational stations are adequately staffed. Manage store inventory by completing weekly food, beverage, and supply orders. Receive, inspect, and verify all vendor deliveries for accuracy, quality, freshness, and compliance with company standards. Maintain accountability for all cash handling procedures, including safeguarding cash drawers, preparing deposits, and ensuring accurate financial reconciliation. Complete and/or verify all required bank deposits in accordance with company procedures. Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed each day, including verification that all AM and PM operational checklists have been properly completed. Supervise the preparation of pizza dough, toppings, sauces, dressings, and other food products to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to company recipes and standards. Monitor food quality, freshness, and proper product rotation by routinely inspecting expiration dates and ensuring compliance with all applicable food safety and sanitation regulations. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of every position within the store, including all makeline stations, and provide operational support or training as needed. Address customer concerns, complaints, and service issues promptly and professionally, taking appropriate action to achieve satisfactory resolution. Maintain the overall cleanliness, organization, and appearance of the store, including the lobby, kitchen, storage areas, bathroom, and exterior premises. Ensure compliance with all company policies, operational procedures, health department regulations, and safety standards. Serve as the primary liaison between ownership and store staff by communicating company expectations, operational updates, and employee concerns. Foster a positive, professional, and productive work environment through effective leadership, coaching, accountability, and team development. Assist with the hiring, training, performance management, and ongoing development of store employees as directed by ownership. Monitor daily operations to maximize productivity, food quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by ownership to support the successful operation of the business. Qualifications Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and inventory management practices. Ability to multitask and make sound operational decisions in a fast-paced environment. Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees effectively. Basic understanding of cash handling procedures and financial accountability. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, twist, and perform repetitive movements throughout a shift. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment with exposure to heat, cold, and cleaning chemicals. Work Environment The General Manager works in a fast-paced restaurant environment and is expected to maintain professionalism while ensuring efficient operations, exceptional guest service, food quality, employee accountability, and compliance with all company policies and applicable regulations.
Pay:
$40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
