We're looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager/Chef who is passionate about food, teamwork, and leadership to help us continue growing.

Growth and bonus potential Fast-paced, high-energy atmosphere Safe and supportive workplace Lively, team-focused culture Job Summary The Assistant Kitchen Manager will assist with oversee daily heart-of-house operations, ensuring the kitchen runs smoothly, efficiently, and up to our high standards of quality and cleanliness. This role requires evening availability, hands-on leadership, organization, and creativity. You'll manage a team, control costs, maintain safety and sanitation, and work closely with leadership to deliver an outstanding guest experience. Responsibilities Leadership & Staff Management Manage and schedule kitchen staff, delegating tasks effectively Train, mentor, and hold team accountable to standards Build and motivate hourly staff while maintaining professionalism and respect Identify performance issues and implement improvement plans Operations & Cost Control Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed Improve and maintain systems for ordering, receiving, storing, and preparing food Use POS reporting tools (Toast preferred) to monitor sales, labor, and fraud daily Implement cost controls without sacrificing quality Ensure proper staffing and efficient scheduling Quality & Safety Oversee food prep, cooking, and plate presentation Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations Partner with FOH leadership to deliver excellent guest service Maintain and improve kitchen SOPs Help create and test new recipes and specials Requirements 3+ years proven kitchen management experience (required) Strong knowledge of food production, safety, and inventory control Experience with catering or high-volume service (preferred) Familiarity with POS systems (Toast POS preferred) Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills Culinary background or formal training a plus Food Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 2 weeks of hire) Must be available to work a flexible schedule: days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Bonus:
