We are building a kitchen rooted in consistency, cleanliness, precision, and pride in execution. We are seeking a strong Kitchen Lead / Chef to oversee daily kitchen operations, maintain food quality standards, and build a disciplined back-of-house team. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who values systems, organization, and accountability in a high-energy environment. We are not building a chaotic kitchen. We are building a professional one. Responsibilities Supervise all kitchen operations including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation Ensure strict adherence to recipes, portion control, and quality standards Maintain food safety compliance, sanitation procedures, and HACCP guidelines Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste Manage food cost and labor efficiency to protect profitability Train, mentor, and develop line cooks and prep staff Coordinate shift scheduling and assign tasks to maintain smooth workflow during peak hours Maintain prep lists, par levels, and production planning Ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained and workspaces remain clean and organized Collaborate with ownership and management on menu refinement and operational improvements This is a working leadership role. The Kitchen Lead is present on the line. Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of kitchen leadership or supervisory experience in full-service, upscale casual, or hospitality-driven environments Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen systems Demonstrated experience in inventory control, food cost management, and waste reduction Knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP standards, and sanitation practices Experience training and developing kitchen staff ServSafe certification or ability to obtain Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment Availability for evenings and weekends
Preferred:
